Steve Disalvo, middle guard, and defensive 
backs Rick Christian and Tim McConnell, who 
did outstanding work in the defensive second- 
ary, also have completed their eligibility. 
Counted On To Help - Lettermen Kevin 
Boodry and Bob Czechowicz both started final 
two games of 1976 at left end and right tackle, 
Czechowicz has been a starter in each of his 
three years at defensive tackle, but he's been 
plagued by injury. 
Henry Addy, a starter in three games at left of- 
fensive tackle in 1976, has been switched to 
defensive tackle. 
Sophomores Kasey Cabral, Bruce Woodford, 
and Tom Schremp all are figured on for help at 
the defensive tackle positions. 
Kurt Holm, a transfer, should provide help at 
linebacker posts. 
Wayne Souza, a sophomore, shows excellent 
promise at cornerback. 
Position Changes - Henry Addy, offensive tac- 
kle to defensive tackle 
KICKING GAME - Vince Lamia completed 
career as Wisconsin's all-time kick scoring 
leader at 180 points; he led 1976 Big Ten kick 
scorers with 52 points. 
Dick Milaeger returns to handle the punting 
chores; best bets to replace Lamia are Mike 
Brhely, West Allis and Steve Veith, Sun 
Fullback Dave Ahrens, 6-3, 208, helped 
Oregon to the Central Suburban 
Championship. Dave earned all confer- 
ence honors at running back and line- 
backer, as well as AP and UPI all-state 
selection ... Ross Anderson, a 5 foot 10 
inch, 175 pound running back-defense 
back from Madison LaFollette where he 
received all-state honors. Ross was also a 
member of LaFollette's state champ bas- 
ketball team ... Larry Banks, 6-1, 220, 
won all-state honors as a middle guard 
from Superior. . . Curt Blaskowski comes 
to the Badgers from DC Everest High 
School in Schofield where he earned all- 
Wisconsin Valley and all-state honors at 
defensive end ... Named to the all-state 
team as a guard, Joe Buivid is 6-2, 235, 
and hails from Port Washington ... Tom 
Chakos, 6-4, 230, made all-Illinois team 
at Hillcrest High in Country Club Hills, Ill. 
Harding High in Bridgeport, Conn. 
sends Tony Elliot, 6-4, 245, a two-time all- 
stater at defensive end. Tony was named 
to the high school all-America team and 
was selected as the Most Valuable Player 
in the state of Connecticut. Listed as one 
of the nation's outstanding high school 
Rhinelander brings to the Badgers an- 
other fine recruit in Mike Flxmer, a 6-2, 
185, defensive end-linebacker. Mike was 
named to the all-Wisconsin Valley and all- 
state teams. 
An all-state selection from Cincinatti, 0. 
comes Steve Givens, 5-11,185. Steve's 
Moeller High School team was rated the 
No. 1 team in the nation where he played 
running back and defensive back ... An- 
other Ohio product is Gene Griffith, 6-1, 
.220, fullback from Stowe, 0. Gene is the 
first player in Stowe history to win four 
letters in football. He was selected to all- 
league, all-county, and all-Ohio district 
Mike Jlrschele is 5 foot 11 inches, 185 
pound quarterback from Clintonville. A 
two time all-state selection, Mike led his 
team to a second place finish in the class 
A football playoffs and the basketball 
team to a class B state championship. He 
was also selected in the 1977 free agent 
baseball draft. 
Mike Krepfle 6-2, 200, tight end-line- 
backer, earned all-Blackhawk conference 
honors from Potosi ... Dave Levenick 
from Grafton, is 6-2, 210, named to the 
all-Scenic Moraine conference team at 
his linebacker position. 
Richard Lewis, 6-3, 238, comes to Wis- 
consin from Akron 0. Richard was se- 
lected to the all-state team at linebacker 
and played in the Ohio all-star game. 
Greg Miskinis played both offensive and 
defensive tackle for Racine Horlick. The 
6-4, 255; all-stater helped the Horlick 
team to a second place finish in class AA 
football playoffs ... Bernard Pickett is 6 
foot, 2 inch, 205 pounder from Kitchener, 
Ontario. He can play both fullback or 
Dean Seis 6-3, 210, linebacker-defen- 
sive end led Antigo to the class AA foot- 
ball title in 1976. Dean was selected to 
the all-Wisconsin Valley and all-state 
teams ... From Eisenhower High in Blue 
Island, I11. comes Doug Wicks, a 6-3, 220 
all-state linebacker... Art Wipperturth, 6- 
2, 180, hails from Waunakee where he 
played both running back and defensive 
back. Art was named to the all-Capitol 
conference and all state teams.
