  Julianne Roller '08 who donated the
funds for a new chapel at Marylhurst
college, Portland, Oregon, recently par-
ticipated in the dedication of the build-
ing.
  Henry A. Schuette, '10 UW emeritus
professor, was honored recently in The
Badger Chemist for his service to the

  Scott Doup '16 has been serving as
tour guide for visitors to Columbus,
Ind., well known for its number of
buildings by world famous architects.
              1921-30
  Mrs. Fred E. Risser (Elizabeth Warner
'22) was recently featured in the Wis-
consin State Journal for her public serv-
ice.
              1931-40
  Mrs. Merrilyn Wegner and Theodore
Hartridge, M.D., '31 were married re-
cently in Madison, Wis.
  James H. M. Henderson '40 has been
appointed director of the Carver Re-
search Foundation, Tuskegee Institute.
              1941-45
  Morris M. Smolan '42 has been ap-
pointed divisional vice president and
group manager of domestic operations,
Schering corp., Bloomfield, N. J.
  Edward J. Kloman '44 has been ap-
pointed manager of The Falk corpora-
tion's district office in Buffalo, N. Y.
              1946-50
  Howard A. Johnson '47 has been
named senior staff production geologist,
offshore west production division, Shell
Oil company's southeastern exploration
and production region, New Orleans.
  Richard C. Lathrop '48 is serving in
Vietnam as an AC-47 Dragonship pilot.
  Robert Peters '48 recently published
his third book of poems, The Sow's
Head and Other Poems. He is a faculty

American Institute of Certified Public

  William H. Petersen '49 has been pro-
moted to general sales and marketing
manager, chemical division, 3M com-

  SEug6ne F. Bastian '$L      s been
elected president of Mutual Trust Life
Insurance company's general agents' as-
sociation. He lives in Rockford, Ill.
  Richard H. Holtan '50 has been pro-
moted to state agent in charge of the
Milwaukee office of The Atlantic com-
panies.
  Dale A. Nordeen '50 has been named
vice president of the Wisconsin Savings
and Loan league.
