RELIABLE PRODUCTS FOR PRINTERS

BABCOCK OPTIMUS TWO-REVOLUTION
UNIVERSAL EQUIPMENT PRESSES
The No. 35 Optimus eliminates limitations because it is built for the printer who often wishes
that his small press would print a full size form on a 17 by 22 sheet, and just as often wishes that
he could "double up" on the folio size. The entire form (21 by 32 inches) is completely covered
by the rollers at each impression.
NO. 35 TWO-ROLLER PRESS WITH EXTENDED DELIVERY
No printed sheet is covered on the pile until the fourth succeeding sheet is printed. (When the
extended delivery is used the fifth is being printed when the first is covered.) The automatic de-
livery saves the operator's time because no adjustments are required for delivering sheets rang-
ing in size from 6 by 8 to 23 by 34 inches. Nothing touches the printed surface of the sheet while
being delivered. Convenience in placing the form, making ready, adjusting the grippers, setting
the rollers, and washing up, is an important factor in the operating economy of this machine.
It is equipped with geared cutting and perforating attachment. It runs smoothly and quietly
at 3,000 impressions per hour, and equipped with automatic feeder and extended delivery, it has
done more to place the production of good printing on a manufacturing basis than any other
machine of this size. The No.35 Optimus will register at its highest advertised speed.
NO. 43 THREE-ROLLER PRESS
The No. 43 Optimus is the most popular 25 by 38 sheet press in the world. Originally designed
for plants using one or two cylinders, it has become the most profitable factor in those using
many presses. The three-form-roller feature enables its user to produce a quality of work impos-
sible on any other press of its size.
