ADVERTISEMENT TIME CHART-Stark's.
By the use of this chart, if properly kept, it is an impossibility to make
an error of any kind in inserting advertisements in a paper. The chart
is ruled and printed on silicate slate, and can be written on with a soft
lead pencil (never use ink) and the marks afterwards erased without
injury to the material, while the back is covered with enamel cloth, thus
making it water proof and almost indestructible. The chart will with
care, last for years. To papers whose advertising space is valuabie it is
an indispensable article and it will pay for itself in the saving of one
wrong insertion of an advertisement. The chart is made in book form,
size when open 26 inches wide and 17 inches long, and contains a chart for
both a daily and weekly issue of a paper. It is ruled like the unit columns
of a ledger, only where these columns stand for units in a ledger in the
chart they represent days. The chart intended for a daily paper has two
months ruled on both sides of three movable leaves, thus maTing it com-
plete for every day in a year and will hold 110 advertisers' names on the
lnes running down the book, while on the outer edge of each cover are
Nlaced four guides--two for each of the daily and weekly charts. They are
ivided into five departments, viz., When Chanfed and Position, First
Following Reading Next to Readinq, Reading Notices and Miscellaneous.
The chart intended for a weekly edition of a daily paper is placed on the
inside of the covers, the first six months of the year being on the front
cover, while the remaining six months are inserted on the last. A chart
is also made for the use of a weekly paper only.
