Žaš er ķ frįsögum haft, aš einhverju sinni hafi sakamašur foršaš sér, meš žvķ aš hlaupa ķ Surtshelli. Sagan segir, aš hann hafi hlaupiš dag og nótt, og loks komiš upp į Langanesi. Hafi žį skór hans veriš fullir meš sand; en žegar aš var gętt, var žaš gullsandur. Sagši žį mašurinn, aš hann hefši um tķma gengiš ķ sandi miklum, og vašiš hann upp yfir ökla. Hefši žaš veriš lķkt og ęgisandur į sjįvarströnd.
