Written in the second half of the XIII century, by unknown writer, this poem is part of the literary tradition of debate, applied here to a love theme. Elena and María argue about what is best: the love of a knight or the love of a clergyman. Not being able to solve their disagreement, they decide to attend the court of king Oriol, known for his great judgment in love cases.
