1. Treaty (copy) with extract of instructions of Apr. 5, 1820; and letter of June 12, 1820, from Lewis Cass to George Boyd, U. S. Ind. Agt., directing him to attempt purchase of land from Ottawa in accordance with form prescribed. (Mackinac Agency, LR, 1820)

2. Lewis Cass to George Boyd, Oct. 6, 1820, acknowledging receipt of treaty and advising that it would be forwarded with explanation of how it was made. (Mich. Suptcy., LS, vol. 3, p. 226-227)
