Introduction
The microform supplement is intended to provide
a far fuller documentation of the history of the
debate over the Constitution in Pennsylvania than is
possible to provide in the printed volume. The
supplement contains letters, pamphlets, and a great
number of newspaper items which amplify the basic
arguments of both the supporters and, the opponents
of the Constitution.
The supplement also includes reproductions of
photographic copies of certain manuscript and printed
items. These include:
(1) Signed petitions to the legislature (nos.
61,469,555).
(2)  Assembly resolutions, 29 September 1787
(no. 78).
(3)  Pamphlets (nos. 9-C, 141, 142, 661).
(4)  Notes of debates in the Convention by
Anthony Wayne, James Wilson, and Jasper
Yeates. Wayne's notes (no. 263 A-B) and
Yeates's notes (no. 265 A-B) have been
