1. Wm. Clark to Sec. of War, June 25, 1820, describing tract of land near Cape Girardeau, Mo., formerly owned by Shawnee. (IA, LR, 1820)
2. Sec. of War to delegates from the Shawnee "on the Missouri," Mar. 2, 1825, re their wish to receive lands in exchange for tract at Cape Girardeau, Mo., formerly occupied by the tribe. (OIA, LS, vol. 1, p. 384)
Note: Under this treaty the Shawnee were compensated for the land referred to in item 1 above. See also items under Treaty of June 2, 1825, with Osage.
