Yet Another Step Toward Tripleness
With this balloon flower several of the stamens have
turned into petals bf a rudimentary type. If carefully selected,
the progeny of this flower should, within a generation or two, have
some representatives with three rows of fully formed petals,
in striking contrast with the single-flowered parent-
forms a few generations removed.
