[Abstract]

In his February 2008 interview with Brad Wiles, Robert "Bob" L. Youngs discussed his time working at the Forest Products Lab. Youngs spoke of his years of employment at the Lab, between 1951 and 1985, as well as his work at Virginia Tech following retirement from FPL. Included are his thoughts on his work in the department of drying and sawing, specifically his work on the kiln operator's handbook and in international forestry as well as work as Director of FPL. This interview was conducted for the centennial anniversary of the Forest Products Lab and for use in its comprehensive history.
