We may hope to see some reformation in our jewellery-no manufacture wants it more, and in time to evoke some of those good spirits of the mine that hovered in Cellini's studio, and taught him so well to wreathe his metals and enshrine his gems. DuRnn the last few years a great amount of restoration of old churches has been effected chiefly by voluntary subscriptions. The public has been and is being gradually taught to take a pride in the seemly appear- ance of the parish church; and in many instances this very proper sentiment is further encouraged by pub- lications like the present.
