Introduction Before the young student can proceed to the Art of making Designs of the Ornamental Parts of Buildings. He must understand, How to Proportion the five orders of Columns; and that this Work may not be dependant on any other for that Purpose; I shall therefore first Explain, the manner of Proportioning them at large by equal Parts ina more concise, but full and easy Manner than has been yet done.
