I have already defcribed the cock Bird, which was from one fhot in Carolina, and fent hither dry : that de- fcription differs from this a little, (fiee my Hiftory of Birds, page I30.) Great num- bers of thefe Birds are brought from North America to London, and preiented or fold to the curious. They will live fome years with us, if taken proper care of: I have kept one of them alive two or three years. The cock has a foft note with little variety.
