'T4 HE firfit of thefe, which is the largefl T figure in the plate, is drawn but a little lefs than life, the bird itfelf being as big, or rather bigger than a blackbird. The bill is black: the upper mandible is hooked at the point, and hath angles on the fides: there is a narrow fkin of a bluifh fleflh-colour round the bafe of the upper mandible, in which the noftrils are placed: the eye hath a fpace of kin void of feathers round it of the faine colour the iris of the ey'c, and a plat of feathers from the upper part of the beak to the mi~id'e of the crown of the head, is of a brigh t orange-colour ; the reft of the head, the neck, back, upper tides of the wings an(1 tail, are of a fLll dar kifli green colour: the throat is of a yellowiffi-green, tinatured with a reddifh-brown : the breaft, belly, fides under the wings, thighs, and covert- XXV.
