The list of authors in the William B. Cairns Collection of American Women Writers to 1930 at present includes over 2,000 names. Regularly maintained, it is updated twice a year as new materials are acquired. The non-circulating collection is housed in the Department of Special Collections, 990 Memorial Library, but other copies and editions of many of the titles included can be found in the regular stacks. The collection is entirely accessible via MadCat, the UW Madison Libraries Online Catalog.
The following list is a record of the Names and Pseudonyms used by American women writers whose works are held in the William B. Works by women authors can also be found in the 20th Century Collection, Private Press Collection, Little Magazine Collection, and the general collection.
