Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Union Depot, Reed Street station.

"Milwaukee & St. Paul railroad Company built Brookfield to Milwaukee in 1864 and used a small frame structure for a depot until erection of the Reed Street "Union Depot" in 1866. The temporary building was moved to the west side of the track and used for an emigrant depot, - the new building was placed on the site occupied by the building that was moved." - caption accompanying photo.
