Racine harbor master and his shanty at the Main Street bridge. Capt. John Powers, harbor master, is sitting in the chair with Capt. John Buie seated to the right in a couple of candy pails. Capt. Bundy. of the "Gospel Ship, Glad tidings," stands to Power's left with his hand on Power's shoulder. Others are: in the left foreground, Benny Colbright and Jake ritz, in the left background, left to right: Philip Racine, John Curley, Ike Baldwin, and unidentified man. To the right of Capt. Bundy is one of his crew members, in the doorway is Charles Lyons and the boy yo the extreme right is Peter Bailey; the rest are unidentified.

Capt. John Powers was "the most experienced and popular ship master that sailed out of Racine," and Capt. Bundy, another colorful figure, sailed the "Glad Tidings" holding evangelist meetings at the harbors on the Great Lakes.
